The Photos For J. Lo's Super Bowl Commercial Are Here

A Throwback To 'Airplane!'?

The photos from Jennifer Lopez' upcoming Super Bowl LIV commercial have appeared. The shoot happened Thursday at the Hard Rock Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Joining Lopez was her fiance, Alex Rodriguez; DJ Khaled; Steven Van Zandt; and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

During one possible scene, Lopez was seen running from a car, while Abdul-Jabbar is apparently wearing a pilot's outfit circa Airplane!.

The Big Show

Lopez is co-headlining the Super Bowl halftime show with Shakira.

In December, Lopez appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to say that "some great guests" would be coming onstage with her and Shakira, also revealing that they have about 12 to 14 minutes to perform.

"We're probably gonna split that between us and then have some great guests, hopefully, and things like that," Lopez said.

She also added that the two are "gonna bring that flavor. It's gonna be good."

Whatever happens, Lopez says she's going to keep her eye on the ball.

"For me, I'm obviously going to try to put together the best show that I can, but it's also about having fun. Just being up there, staying present in the moment and enjoying all of the wonderful things that are happening."

Representing

And the significance of her and Lopez working together on the momentous occasion is not lost on Shakira.

"I feel that’s gonna be great because she also represents a really important part of the Latino community who lives in the U.S. — who’s being born and raised in the U.S. — and in a way, I feel that I’m representing another part of the Latin world, which is all those people around the globe who barely speak English and a huge portion of the demographic that also arrived in the U.S. with the American dream.

I think this is gonna be an event to celebrate Latin culture and the importance of women also in the industry."

The Biggest Birthday Party We've Ever Seen

The show will take place on Shakira's birthday, and the singer told Zane Lowe that performing at the Super Bowl halftime show has always been a goal of hers.

"It’s gonna be on my birthday! I’ve always wanted to perform at the Super Bowl. I think it’s the holy grail of the entertainment industry."

"It’s a sports event but it has a huge relevance for us artists and I think it’s gonna be fantastic and I’m gonna be celebrating my birthday with 100 million people. Just a small party, it’s surreal, actually."

Super Bowl LIV is Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.
