Photos From 'The Big Bang Theory's Final Taping Are So Emotional

We wish we were pulling a “Bazinga!”, but, unfortunately, this is very real news. On Tuesday evening, The Big Bang Theory filmed for the last time. You may need tissues, because photos from TBBT cast wrapping its final episode ever will surely make fans tear up. It’s hard to believe that the actors portraying Penny, Leonard, Sheldon, Amy, Howard, Bernadette and Raj took their final bows. But, at least they were kind enough to capture the emotional moments and share photos on Instagram with their followers.

Most of the entire cast, including Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Melissa Rauch, Mayim Bialik, Jim Parsons, Kunal Nayyar and even Kevin Sussman (Stuart) posted touching tributes in honor of the series, their characters and the cast and the crew. Let’s check them out.

And that’s a wrap.

The hour-long series finale will air on May 16 from 8-9 p.m. with a special 30-minute farewell episode, Unraveling the Mystery: A Big Bang Farewell, hosted by Cuoco and Galecki that will air at 9:30 p.m. The retrospective will take “fans on a trip down memory lane, sharing some of the best-kept backstage secrets and personal memories from the past 12 years.” The entire cast will also appear on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert that same night.

It’s definitely going to be hard to say goodbye once and for all to TBBT. Thankfully, fans still have a little bit of time to prepare themselves.
