Serving Her Sentence

Felicity Huffman is currently serving her 13 day sentence after she bribed an admissions counselor $15,000 to raise her daughter's SAT score. She is being held in a low-security federal prison in Dublin, California, and photographers grabbed a shot of her wearing her jumpsuit while enduring her sentence over the weekend.

The Extent Of Her Crimes

Huffman checked in to FCI Dublin on Tuesday after she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud as part of the now infamous Operation Varsity Blues scheme that found dozens of famous and wealthy parents attempting to bribe their children into top universities.

On top of her brief prison stay, Hoffman was ordered to 250 hours of community service and a $30,000 fine.

Her Apology

At the time of her sentencing, Huffman admitted that she was in the wrong in her actions.

"In my desperation to be a good mother I talked myself into believing that all I was doing was giving my daughter a fair shot. I see the irony in that statement now because what I have done is the opposite of fair. I have broken the law, deceived the educational community, betrayed my daughter and failed my family."

Despite her contrition, Huffman has been drawing criticism over her relatively short sentence.
