Phoenix has dropped a new iteration of their song “All Eyes on Me” featuring Pusha T, the Neptunes’ Chad Hugo, and New Zealand singer Benee.

“A huge thank you to le Roi Pusha-T — most played artist in our backstage,” Phoenix said in a statement. “To Chad Hugo, who always showed up when we were playing in Virginia, it’s about time we worked together! And to Benee, who worked at light speed to make this happen and added some magic. MERCI!!!”

Pusha T previously teamed up with Phoenix on stage at at Paris’ We Love Green festival in June. There the rapper debuted his verse on “All Eyes on Me.” The choice to enlist Pusha T for a remix the track is particularly fitting considering Clipse dropped their own “All Eyes On Me” — featuring Pharrell Williams and Keri Hilson — in 2009.

“All Eyes on Me” comes off Phoenix’s 2022 album, Alpha Zulu. The new version follows the release of a revamped version of album cut “After Midnight” with an appearance from Clairo, and new song “Odyssey,” which features Beck.

Alpha Zulu was produced by Phoenix and recorded in Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs. According to a press release, frontman Thomas Mars was inspired to write the track by the phrase “alpha zulu,” which he “heard a pilot repeating over the radio during a turbulent flight in a storm.” The LP marked the group’s first in five years following 2017’s Ti Amo.
