NBA Analysis: Ben McLemore, Kenrich Williams, Justin Holiday potential targets for Suns

Brett Siegel writes: "Not having any trade exceptions and sitting $7.3M under the luxury tax threshold this season, Phoenix does not have many trade options heading towards the deadline. However, the contract of Dario Saric could be a means to the Suns adding what they need to possibly win a title. Saric suffered a torn ACL in the NBA Finals last season and his status to return to the court this season is in question. With the Suns signing JaVale McGee in the offseason and getting a ton of production from Bismack Biyombo as well, now is the time for Phoenix to try and get themselves out of the remaining $17.7M on Dario Saric’s contract. Could the Suns flip Dario Saric for another perimeter scorer? Here are three shooters that the Suns could pursue ahead of the trade deadline."

Bleacher Report: Josh Hart 'dream' target, Harrison Barnes 'sneaky' target for Suns

Greg Swartz writes: "Hart checks a lot of boxes for a contender. He's a 6'5" wing who's putting up 13.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals on 51.5 percent shooting overall. He's a good defender who would become a do-it-all sixth man for Phoenix. Barnes may require some more salary-matching gymnastics, but he'd be an upgrade over Jae Crowder as the team's starting power forward. A 2015 NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, Barnes is hitting a career-high 41.5 percent of his threes this season."

NBA Analysis: Reggie Bullock could be target for Suns

Greg Patuto writes: "Reggie Bullock is not the type of name that is going to excite many franchises but the Phoenix Suns are not in need of another star. They are already one of the best teams in the league and could be interested in more depth, especially on the defensive end of the floor. This is where Bullock would come into play. During his time in the league, Bullock has shown that he is a strong three-point shooter and defensive stud. Bullock broke out in recent years, like his one season with the New York Knicks, and showed what he can do. Now, he could have a chance to play for a contender if a team like Phoenix is interested. Bullock would be a strong piece off the bench they can knock down an open shot and give valuable minutes defensively. This is the type of backup shooting guard the team should be looking for behind Booker. But like will be a cheaper option but for a win-now team like the Suns, could be an underrated acquisition."

Fansided: Suns should trade for Larry Nance Jr., D.J. Augustin

Collin Helwig writes: "The Suns attain a piece which fans have had their eyes on for some time. As a lob threat for Chris Paul, tough defender on the block, underrated passer, and additional floor spacer, Nance Jr. promises to fit well within Phoenix’s highly functioning basketball machine. Nance Jr. also belongs in a Suns uniform. With his father having played his first six and half NBA season in the desert, this represents something of a homecoming for him. As a sweetener, Phoenix throws a second rounder into the mix as well. With that, this deal represents a true win-win exchange for both teams. … Augustin then takes Payton’s spot within the rotation while also becoming a “stay ready” guy for Payne’s off-nights. His 5.5 points and 2.2 assists per game this year might not jump out at you, but his .414/.415/.868 shooting slashes are all better than that of Payne’s and Payton’s for the year. His veteran presence and poise especially come playoff time can only help the Suns as well. Adding Augustin comes at no expense to Phoenix, and resembles a home-run addition from all angles."

gophnx.com: Possible Suns targets include Torrey Craig, Nicolas Batum, Serge Ibaka, Dennis Schroder, Goran Dragic

Gerald Bourguet writes: Craig is a defensive-minded guy who can plug up multiple positions, crash the boards and play small-ball 5 — something no other wing on this roster can currently offer, and a role that’s sorely missed with Saric sidelined. … Batum’s has a $3.3 million player option for next year, so he’d probably opt out. But even if Ibaka would likely be out of the Suns’ price range to keep beyond this season, Batum would be a sneaky good candidate to re-sign for cheap, especially if the remainder of his year in Phoenix went well. … For the Suns, Schroder’s 16.1 points and 4.5 assists per game indicate a backup ball-handler who could create for himself and for others. His 34.2 percent shooting from long range leaves something to be desired, but perhaps on a title contender he’d be able to pick it up a few notches and continue to hound opponents up and down the court in his bench role. … There’s a possibility Dragic is simply washed. He wasn’t quite the same last season for the Miami Heat coming off that devastating plantar fasciitis injury that sidelined him for most of the 2020 NBA Finals. But even then, he made 37.3 percent of his 3s last year and still averaged double figures."

Fansided: Suns should have interest in Alec Burks

Matthew Coloma writes: "Alec Burks is a solid vet who can provide some shooting, as well as a little bit of playmaking off the bench. Burks isn’t a bad defender either, having an above-average defensive rating of 109.0. Burks just simply doesn’t fit the Knicks timeline anymore as they have younger guys who can do a lot of the same things that Burks does for the Knicks. Burks signed a 3-year, $30 million dollar contract with the Knicks last summer. Expect interest from teams that need some bench scoring. Perhaps the Suns or the Hornets."
