Before new Phish festival launch in Dover 2024, a new car event is headed to Monster Mile

Next summer, before a new Phish festival splashes in The Woodlands of Dover, a new car event by the world's largest hot-rodding association will come to the Monster Mile.

The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s Mid-Atlantic Nationals is going down at Dover Motor Speedway from June 7 to 9.

The inaugural event takes place a little over a month after the racetrack hosts a NASCAR tripleheader in the spring from April 26 to 28.

“Goodguys has been looking for a place to call home in the northeast for many years now and Dover Motor Speedway checks off all the boxes!” Andrew Ebel, Goodguys chief operating officer, said in a press statement.

Mike Tatoian, Dover Motor Speedway’s president and general manager, said in a press statement that "Goodguys has been producing America’s favorite car shows for over 40 years.”

Tatoian continued, “We’re very proud to now call them partners and cannot wait for everyone in the mid-Atlantic region to visit the Monster Mile in 2024 for this can’t-miss event.”

What’s cool about this Goodguys event?

Guests can expect family fun at Goodguys event including a Kids Zone, live entertainment, Nitro Thunderfest with vintage dragsters, regional favorites like burnout contests, lowrider hopping, fireworks and more.

According to press materials, "vehicles built in 1999 and older are welcome into the show and on Sunday at all National events, all years and models of American-made or powered vehicles are welcome to join the fun."

The Goodguys crew is looking forward to bringing this fresh event to the First State in 2024.

“Dover Motor Speedway is a first-class facility, with excellent hotel options and amenities in the vicinity,” Ebel said.

“It’s also conveniently situated just a short cruise away from several major metropolitan areas jam-packed with large numbers of classic automotive and performance enthusiasts that are ready to gather for a huge weekend of family fun and entertainment that Goodguys is well known for.”
