For Brooke and Rob Rittner, Sunday's NFC East showdown wasn't just another typical game day for the die-hard football fans. It also happened to be the couple's wedding day.

The Oaklyn, New Jersey, residents — and Philadelphia Eagles superfans — tied the knot at a tailgate in the parking lot of Lincoln Financial Field before kickoff, when their team took on the Dallas Cowboys.

In a video posted on the Eagles' official Instagram account, Brooke, 45, and Rob, 48, could be seen standing in front of an officiant wearing an Eagles jersey. The bride was fittingly dressed for the occasion in a gown featuring "Eagles green" sequins and an Eagles cap trimmed with a green veil. The groom kept things more casual in a white jersey and green athletic shorts.

After the couple was declared husband and wife, they shared a kiss as the crowd looking on cheered for them. Two former Eagles players also made cameos at the couple's wedding — former cornerback Lito Sheppard and former wide receiver Fred Barnett.

"A wedding tailgate! THAT's a Philly thing. Congratulations Brooke & Rob 💍🦅," the Eagles wrote on Instagram, alongside clips and photos from the Rittners' parking lot nuptials.

"This has been such an amazing day," Brooke told CBS News Philadelphia after the game. "It's been awesome."

Prior to their special day, the pair sent out save-the-date cards to their family and friends which were cleverly designed like football tickets. "Rob & Brooke are getting married," the cards said. "LFT LOT N 12PM - 4PM. Tickets not included."

While the wedding itself was an unforgettable, Rob said they did face one perhaps not surprising logistical issue. "Parking was a problem," he said of the stadium. "I was getting phone calls."

"But there were so many Good Samaritans because we're in Philadelphia," Brooke added. "Like, my mom was like, 'I need to get to my daughter's wedding,' and somebody literally parked her car and ran her over here."

As a wedding present, Brooke and Rob received matching personalized Eagles jerseys from the team signed by center Jason Kelce, who was celebrating his 36th birthday on Sunday. Another present? The Eagles won the game 28-23, giving them their eighth win of the season.

"I'm here for Rob and Brooke, and I absolutely love them as a couple," wedding guest Jenny Simpson told CBS News Philadelphia. "They are the most perfect couple in the world."
