Phil Mickelson is still out here hitting bombs and attacking the pin. At the CJ Cup in South Korea on Thursday it nearly resulted in an ace ... on a par 4.

Mickelson teed off in the second round and bombed a driver on the 353-yard 14th hole at Nine Bridges. He was so focused on hitting a bomb he nearly lost balance on the 353-yard hole.

The camera doesn’t stay on him, but he probably came close to losing his balance again when he saw how close he was to a hole-in-one.

That thump of the drive on the flag is crushing.

Mickelson, 49, has an average drive of 307.2 yards off the tee and tapped his ball through the last few inches in for eagle. He came in at one-over through 13 holes and finished the day two-under for the tournament. It’s 11 strokes behind the leader.
