Something In The Water Festival returned took place in Washington D.C. for the first time in two years. The three-day event featured a performance lineup curated by Pharrell Williams, who doubled as a headlining act bringing a handful of special guests on stage.

From June 17 – June 19, a slew of acts took the stage to perform songs from their Additional performers included Usher, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, T.I., Lil Baby, Roddy Rich, Moneybagg Yo, Skepta, Ozuna, Quinn XCIII, Lucky Daye, 6LACK, Syd, Tobe Nwigwe, Tierra Whack, Mariah The Scientist, J.I.D., Chloe x Halle, Jeremy Zucker, Sabrina Claudio, Backyard Band, Mariah The Scientist, J.I.D., Chloe x Halle, Jeremy Zucker, Sabrina Claudio, Backyard Band, and more.

The weekend also included panels and community events such as the DC+XQ Community Market which featured an array of local vendors, merchants, and entrepreneurs. DC artists Keyonna Jones, Jamilla Okubo, and Chris Pyrate were invited to create an original visual representation of the community. The Recording Academy DC Chapter joined in the festivities this weekend by hosting their Women In Hip Hop Brunch at Maketto celebrating trailblazing women in the genre. Special guests Kari Johnson, Pusha T and DJ Domo attended.

Additionally, the festival hosted an HBCU panel where Pharrell Williams announced plans to relieve the debt accumulated by five young NAACP leaders who recently graduated. Williams also previewed his Elephant in the Room business forum which will become an annual event where topics about the intersection of business, money and the Black community are discussed with entrepreneurs and leaders in the realm of Diversity Equity & Inclusion.
