Tommy DeVito’s agent Sean Stellato won Monday Night Football!

The unlikely story of the lives-at-home-with-his-parents, New Jersey-bred, third-string New York Giants quarterback took a turn no one saw coming during their game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday when fans, the Internet and the ManningCast observed the pinstriped-suit and fedora-clad Stellato along the sidelines.

“He looks like Johnny Fontane from The Godfather,” Peyton Manning observed to his brother Eli during their simulcast.

Stellato, 45, toted a blue bag in which the brothers joked he was carrying chicken cutlets — the preferred protein that DeVito, 25, has said that his mother makes for him (along with his bed) at home.

During the game, Stellato, a Salem, Massachusetts native, sat with DeVito’s parents, Tom Sr. and Lexy, in the stands, where he was seen kissing the quarterback’s dad and other family members.

Sportscasters Joe Buck and Troy Aikman couldn’t resist offering a little off-the-field commentary.

“This guy, the agent, may break the Internet,” Buck said after the camera panned to the stands and the smooch. “What the heck’s going on?” added Aikman.

The sports agent has a backstory as interesting as DeVito’s.

After playing quarterback himself in high school and at Marist College, Stellato went on to found SES Sports, taking a cue from his entrepreneurial ancestors, according to The Salem News.

“My grandfather immigrated from Sambiase on the coast of Calabria, Italy,” Stellato told the newspaper. “The boat they were on was the SS Canopic and they were in the third class, the lowest possible means of ocean transport. They were shoemakers and came over with $14 to their name, which is pretty amazing. It’s one thing to search for the American dream and another to actually take that leap of faith.”

He added, “The values my ancestors carried across the Atlantic haven’t changed: hard work, faith, generosity and grit.”

For his part, DeVito told the outlet that he has been pleased by his agent’s tenacity.

“Sean is always in my corner and will do whatever it takes to help me with my career on and off the field,” DeVito said. “He is the Italian Stallion of sports agents.”

And fitting with the Giants’ unlikely storyline of a season, this weekend, the Italian Stallion will get a bit more time in the spotlight when he’ll be inducted into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame.
