Pete Davidson is channeling his inner Ken!

The comedian, 29, dressed up as his own version of Ken on Saturday Night Live on Saturday as he sang a parody version of the song “I’m Just Ken” sung by Ryan Gosling in the Barbie movie. Davidson's version was titled "I'm Just Pete."

The hilarious skit began with Davidson, who hosted the season 49 premiere, overhearing his SNL costars Andrew Dismukes and Punkie Johnson making fun of him in the office.

“Yeah, why is he hosting?” Dismukes said. “He just left and it’s not like his show was a hit,” he added, referring to Davidson’s show Bupkis. “Right, like how you get Joe Pesci and Edie Falco and no viewers?” Johnson said as the pair laughed.

The next scene showed Davidson transformed as a shirtless Ken — or ‘Pete’ — complete with a blonde wig, as he sat on a pink couch in Barbie’s home from the movie. “No one cares about the work I do, I made a show with Joe Pesci too and no one streamed it but my mom,” he sang, followed by, "When I'm high, I do things like call up Colin Jost, and say 'Home, we should buy a boat.' They tell me I have butthole eyes but I never sleep alone at night."

Davidson then appeared fully clothed as he was joined by background dancers in the SNL version of Barbieland. “I’m just Pete, anyone else I’d be a three, but I guess I’m hot for dudes in comedy, because it’s an ugly industry,” he recited the chorus.

“I’m just Pete, looking like a meth head on the street, people online still call me Skete because of a guy whose name I can’t say legally,” Davidson sang. An image of Kanye West then flashed onscreen. The rapper, 46, famously featured a claymation version of Davidson — who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time — who was kidnapped, tied up and buried in a music video in 2022 and referred to him online as "Skete."

Davidson then appeared with a group of other ‘Petes’, played by some of the SNL cast, as they posed on Barbieland beach. “Pete’s assemble!” he shouted. Individual shots of the ‘Petes’ were then shown alongside their names onscreen in the video and included "Met Gala Pete" (played by Bowen Yang) and "Black Pete" (Devin Walker).

“Black Pete? It's just Black Pete then?” Walker said, unimpressed. “Aight then.”

Elsewhere in the skit, Davidson referenced his rehab stint this year in the song. “And out of blue, like three times a year when you least expect it…I go to rehab,” he sang as he sat in a Barbie pink rehab office.

The host was next seen dressed in all-black in a blue studio with backing dancers as they recreated a version of Ken’s iconic dancing routine from the Barbie movie as, amongst other lines, Davidson sang about "energy" including "B.D. Energy" as the words 'B.D.E' appeared onscreen.

The next scene switched back to pink as it showed Davidson in SNL's version of Barbieland for the final time. “I’m just Pete, my dating life is not discreet. I generate tons of publicity for everything, accept my comedy,“ he sang.

“My name’s Pete and so is mine, I deleted all my accounts online because the doctor said the internet wasn't good for me,” Davidson continued. “Baby I’m Pete!” he added, closing the song.

The last scene showed Davidson sitting in a pink car with SNL member Chloe Fineman, who was dressed as Barbie. “Are you ready, Pete?” she asked him. “Sure am Barbie!” Davidson replied before hitting the gas. A final shot showed the pair crashing into Barbie’s home.

The comedian was involved in a car crash in March, police confirmed to PEOPLE at the time, and was subsequently ordered to complete 50 hours of community service after being charged with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving in June. The final moments of the skit appeared to be referencing the incident from earlier in the year.

“Oh, not again!” Davidson was heard saying as the car horns blared.
