Pete Davidson enjoyed a public date night with Madelyn Cline on Saturday.

The SNL alum, 29, hosted the iconic show’s season 49 premiere on Saturday and Cline, 25, joined him for the official afterparty at Catch Steak.

“They seemed very lovey, very cute, but they kept to themselves," a source exclusively told PEOPLE of their appearance at the party.

Despite the couple being “not very social,” the source added, “[Davidson] stayed pretty late. He was there till after 4 a.m.”

The pair appeared to be trying to keep a low profile in snaps taken outside the party. They kept their heads down as they entered alongside Cline's pal, Ozark actress Sofia Hublitz.

Davidson wore the sweatsuit he was wearing to close the episode of SNL, while the ladies sported all black ensembles.

The couple were also joined at the afterparty by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after the NFL star appeared in an SNL sketch about the attention surrounding his rumored romance with Swift. The singer meanwhile introduced the second performance of the show’s musical guest, rapper Ice Spice.

Cline's attendance on Saturday comes just weeks after she was spotted with Davidson in Las Vegas for his stand-up gig. The Outer Banks star and the host began dating in late September, with multiple sources confirming the new couple to PEOPLE.

News of their romance came shortly after Davidson and actress Chase Sui Wonders broke up in August after less than a year of dating.

The split also occurred after the end of the comedian's rehab stint this summer, when he underwent voluntary mental health treatment to address issues related to post-traumatic stress disorder and his prior borderline personality disorder diagnosis

"I'm not, like, flexing, you know what I mean? And these people that I've dated, I met them at work," he told Jon Berthnal on the Real Ones podcast. "I wasn't in anyone's DMs, no one was in mine. Suddenly you're in this zeitgeist and that has nothing to do with the work. And that's a really s----y feeling."

Cline meanwhile was most recently linked to producer Zack Bia following her split from her Outer Banks costar Chase Stokes in November 2021. Despite the breakup, the actress has continued to play love interests with Stokes in the popular Netflix drama.

During Saturday's episode of SNL, Davidson sang a self-deprecating parody of "I'm Just Ken" from the Barbie movie. The skit featured the line: "I’m just Pete, anyone else I’d be a three, but I guess I’m hot for dudes in comedy, because it’s an ugly industry."

His appearance on the show was originally scheduled to take place in May. However, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike forced the episode’s cancellation.

The second episode of SNL’s 49th season will air on Saturday Oct. 21 at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Rapper and singer Bad Bunny is set to double as host and musical performer.
