Davidson Returns To 'SNL'

While there was a lot to discuss in this weekend's Saturday Night Live -- Lizzo taking the stage, Eddie Murphy's triumphant return -- but Pete Davidson's appearance to talk about his personal life on Weekend Update also has people talking.

Davidson has been in and out on the latest season of Saturday Night Live due to his work on the upcoming sequel (reboot?) to Suicide Squad, and he has periodically stopped by Weekend Update to, well, update people on his life offscreen. It's an odd bit, but the team seems committed.

Addressing His Newest Relationship

The 26-year-old talked about his relationship with 18-year-old (yikes) Kaia Gerber, the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford. Davidson doesn't get all the backlash that he gets for dating a never-ending parade of famous women.

"Yeah and it's not fair Colin [who is engaged to Scarlet Johansson]. You get to date a famous woman and everyone's delighted, you know? But when I do it, the world wants to punch me in the throat."

If I'm your type of guy that your daughter -- or mother-- is into, then trust me, I'm the best-case scenario. There are a million guys who look like me, and I'm the only one with a job. It's like me or Tyga."

Is He Heading To Rehab?

Davidson joked that he was shocked that this segment came after Eddie Murphy reprised his iconic role as "Gumby."

"I can’t believe you guys let me do this during the Eddie Murphy episode. So many fans being reminded why they stopped watching."

Davidson also implied that he was heading to rehab during SNL's winter hiatus.

"I'm going on 'vacation' but insurance pays for some of it, and they take your phone and shoe laces and it costs $100,000 but I still have roommates."

Fans Are Commending Him Online

While the SNL segment made a mention of how people roast Davidson online, there was an outpouring of support from viewers after he alluded to staying in a mental health facility.

"If Pete Davidson is actually going to rehab, I salute the dude for talking about it in public. Maybe somebody else will feel a little less ashamed."

"pete davidson is so open and brave about his struggles and he uses humor to bring light to things are hard to talk about. put some respect on his name."

"I don't know if Pete Davidson is genuinely going to rehab but whatever it is #WeLoveYouPete"
