Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy Call Son Shai the 'Coolest Roommate' as They Celebrate His 7th Birthday

The professional dancers also share son Rio, 6 months

Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy's son Shai is celebrating another year around the sun.

On Thursday, the Dancing with the Stars alums shared a sweet carousel of photos in honor of their son Shai's 7th birthday. Beginning with a baby picture of Shai, the proud parents also included photos of the three of them posing together, as well as a sweet picture of Shai and his younger brother Rio, 6 months.

"Happy Birthday @shai.aleksander 🎂 🎉 🥳 🎈We love you so much it hurts!" they wrote in their caption.

"Where did the last seven years go?!? How did you go from the cutest burrito to the coolest roommate?!? How incredibly lucky are we?!? Today is YOUR day…we celebrate you, your kindness, your strength, your purity and your forever sensitive beautiful soul."

In December, the professional dancers shared a few photos from their Christmas festivities, which included their two sons, as they celebrated the holiday in Park City, Utah.

Posing in front of the Christmas tree, Chmerkovskiy, 43, held Rio while Murgatroyd, 37, sat with Shai. The family of four was also joined by Maks' brother Val Chmerkovskiy, his wife Jenna Johnson and their baby Rome.

"From Our Family To Yours ✨ MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄 What a special holiday this was, making the best memories with my favorite people. The kids 100% stole the show!!! Wishing you all the most joyous day today XO ❤️," Murgatroyd wrote in her caption.

Earlier that same month, the proud parents shared their family's holiday photos on Instagram, posing outside with their family of four. Murgatroyd smiled and held their son Rio up by his arms, posing next to Chmerkovskiy, who held Rio's feet.

Behind the couple, son Shai placed a hand on each of his parents' heads, smiling big.

Shai and Rio also posed for a special sibling shot, with Shai holding his younger brother in his lap. Murgatroyd even included an adorable shot of herself with both her boys, sitting on a tree.

"Happy Holidays from our family to yours ❤️ Seeing us as a family of 4 makes me well up every time🥹 someone pinch me…." she wrote in her caption.
