Todd and Julie Chrisley are asking the courts to seal their case involving their youngest son, Grayson Chrisley.

The pair have been in the middle of an intense legal battle with a man named Patrick Rykwalder after he said Grayson slammed into his 2020 Dodge Ram on November 12, 2022, in Tennessee. In the documents, he said the reality star “failed to act appropriately under the circumstances,” including “maintaining a safe operating distance from other motor vehicles.”

Later, Patrick requested phone records from Verizon and AT&T for the day before the crash up to 18 days after. The Chrisley family responded to his request, calling it a “clear effort to harass them.”

Todd and Julie want this completely sealed from the public…

After Mr. Rykwalder’s requests, Todd and Julie’s lawyers filed a motion to keep their case sealed from the public. Thanks to RadarOnline, they’ve reported that the legal documents, they argue the Chrisleys are “national television personalities who are requesting that this Court seal the court record in this matter to protect their privacy, especially in light of [Todd and Julie’s] appeals of their recent criminal convictions.”

Patrick slammed the family in another response, saying they’ve spoken publicly about it in podcasts and media interviews since 2022. “The irony of these arguments is that the Defendants have exploited the facts of this case to remain relevant by making statements to media outlets; they’ve posted about the facts of the case on various social media platforms and publicly discussed the facts of the case on podcasts,” Patrick’s lawyer said.

“If the Defendants were truly concerned with something embarrassing coming out from the case at bar, they would not have utilized their platforms to remain relevant, profit from an otherwise terrible situation, or seek public sympathy by alleging they are the victims.”

Will Todd and Julie be out of prison soon?

Todd and Julie have been in federal prison since January 2023. The pair were convicted of defrauding banks and the government out of millions of dollars. Since turning themselves in, Todd, Julie, and Savannah Chrisley have been fighting to overturn their convictions. They have claimed that the prosecution failed to provide enough evidence.

Furthermore, Savannah argued her parents were “singled out” and given harsh sentences because of their celebrity status.

Consequently, the family is going through the appeal process, and Savannah and the rest of the family remain hopeful Todd and Julie will be home by the summer.
