Perks of Being a ‘Game of Thrones’ Actor

English actor John Bradley, best known for his role as Samwell Tarly in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, stopped by Conan and shared a story about a trip to Krispy Kreme. Bradley said he walked into the doughnut shop, and an employee turned to him and said, “Want a free doughnut?” Like any normal human, Bradley replied back with an eager yes. The employee went to the back of the store and picked out a fresh hot doughnut for Bradley to consume.

Once the employee returned, he found Bradley anxiously waiting with his nose pressed on the glass of the display. Bradley chomped away happily and thanked the generous employee until he heard him say, “I really love the show. Your character, not so much, but I love the show.” Startled by the confession, all Bradley could do was eat his doughnut in silence.

Conan airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
