Perfume Genius, Best Coast, Jade Bird to Perform on New Twitch-Wasserman Livestream Series ‘There Is Light’
The new Wasserman Music agency and livestreaming service Twitch have partnered to launch “There is Light,” an indie-centric channel and concert series. The series will present 20 live concerts from independent music venues in the U.S. and U.K., starting with a May 4 — tonight — performance by Perfume Genius at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles. Other confirmed headliners include Best Coast, Cautious Clay, Creeper, Jade Bird, JpegMafia, Orla Gartland, Porches, The Snuts, and Two Feet, with more to be announced. All performances are “100% live” and free to view exclusively at https://www.twitch.tv/thereislight
“There is Light” concerts will take place on Tuesdays at 8pm ET / 5pm PT in the U.S. and on Sundays at 8pm BST in the U.K., starting May 4 and concluding on September 28. Each livestream will run 90 minutes, with a 30-minute pre-show featuring an opening act, followed by the headline performance. Following the headliner’s set, there will be a moderated Q&A where artists will have an opportunity to engage directly with their fans and the Twitch community. All concerts will feature full production in the venues, with professional multi-camera shoots.

No live, in-person audiences are planned, though this is subject to change based on local COVID-19 conditions and protocols.
Kicking off with four May performances originating from the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, future performances will be announced from Lafayette in London, as well as venues in New York, Washington DC, Chicago and other cities. Audiotree Media will produce U.S. performances, and Lafayette’s live production team will produce performances in London.
