People Are Speculating That Meghan Markle’s Latest Look Is a Subtle Snub to a Royal Family Member

We’ve seen it time and time again (especially with the British royal family), and there’s one thing we’ve learned: if you’re gonna snub, make it fashionable. We all remember the show fiasco during Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, where Kate Middleton (and then a few weeks later, Rose Hanbury) wore the iconic same pair of shoes that Meghan Markle always wore. Now, the tables seem to have turned because Meghan is now dabbling in a fashion statement Kate has become synonymous with over the past few months, and fans are speculating.

In case you missed it, director Misan Harriman shared a few photos of a panel for his short film, After, of which the Duchess of Sussex was a part of. He shared the photos to his Instagram with the caption reading, “Here are some images from a very special screening of The after moderated by the Duchess of Sussex. It was extra special to have her and so many of my film idols watch this film. Thank you for coming to all the guests and 🙏🏾 @netflix for hosting.”

In the one photo, we can see Meghan donning a chic chocolate brown pantsuit and a matching turtleneck sweater. Since this photo came out, people have noticed the similarities between this look, and the monochromatic fits Kate has been wearing for months.

Now, is this monochromatic fit something Meghan has never ventured down before? No, of course not. For instance, the Duchess of Sussex is no stranger to monochromatic fits, and she even donned an all-white pantsuit look for the Invictus Games 2020 reception and an all-black Giorgio Armani suit for a Navy SEAL opening event.

And from the images we can find, it seems as though Kate only started donning the all-one-color pantsuit look in 2022 (but often did the monochromatic look in dress or skirt form since 2011). So, you do the math there.

Either way, they both look amazing in the monochromatic looks, and we hope to see more from both of them.
