PEOPLE Picks is a monthly roundup of products the people behind PEOPLE Shopping actually buy — and love.

Time is ticking, but it’s not too late to pick up a great holiday or Christmas gift, and you don’t need to spend a lot to do so.

We spend a lot of time testing, reviewing, and recommending products here at PEOPLE Shopping (it’s quite literally our full-time job), and I was curious what my fellow writers and editors would personally give — or like to receive — with a budget of $55.

My colleagues came back with more than 20 ideas from Crate and Barrel, Sur La Table, J.Crew, Sephora, and Amazon. More than one staffer (myself included) will be gifting a Lego flower set, there were two recommendations for Laneige lip products (including a seasonal edition of the overnight mask!), and a few great gifts for readers (big surprise when you poll a bunch of writers).

From inexpensive stocking stuffers to main event-worthy presents, there are so many great gifts you can get for under $55.

It’s insanely sparkly, dresses up my simple sweater outfits, and it’s fairly affordable. Any fashion gal will appreciate it!”—Alyssa Grabinski, celebrity shopping writer

Sesiiduo Candle Warmer Lamp, $38 (Save 17%)

Amazon

Amazon

“I'm obsessed with my candle warmer (so much so that I bought a second one for my bedroom!) and will be gifting it to everyone I know this year. Not only does it double as elegant decor, but since it just melts the candle wax rather than burning it, it also makes those expensive candles last. To really elevate this gift, pair it with a festive holiday candle.”—Hannah Freedman, associate director commerce content strategy

Rachel Ray Oil and Vinegar Bottle with Spout, $20

Phlur Missing Person Parfum Mini, $26

Sephora

Sephora

“‘You smell good’ is possibly the highest compliment one can receive (in my opinion, anyway). I recently fell in love with Phlur’s Missing Person fragrance and have heard nothing but rave reviews from my loved ones, as well as strangers who stop to ask what perfume I’m wearing. I plan to add the $26 travel-sized bottle to many stockings over the holidays.”—Clara McMahon, Amazon news and deals writer

Glocusent Willow Book Light, $14 with Coupon

Amazon

Amazon

“I bought this little reading light for myself, and it's become one of my most-used items. I'm giving it as a small stocking stuffer this year.”—Jennifer Maldonado, senior commerce editor

Ozinna Wooden Triangle Book Stand, $26

Amazon

Amazon

“I'm an avid reader and I think this personalized book stand would make the perfect gift for a fellow bibliophile. You can customize the engraving, and there are a few styles to choose from. When you're ready for a reading break, just place your open book on the pointed rest with your coffee next to it, and when you come back your place is safely marked without needing to dog-ear the pages.”—Madison Yauger, senior shopping writer

Crate&Barrel

Crate&Barrel

Dilter USB Wired Computer Keyboard, $22 with Coupon

Amazon

Amazon

“I've had it with Bluetooth-enabled devices: In 2024 I'm going wired. I just bought this mechanical keyboard to plug into my iMac and I'm so excited to loudly clack away on it (and save my wrists the strain of the compressed Apple keyboard). Perfect gift for anyone stubborn, nostalgic, or looking for a more ergonomic WFH setup.”—Nicola Fumo, shopping writer/editor

Anker 313 Wireless Charger Stand, $16 (Save 20%)

Amazon

The one we got him isn't available anymore, but this $16 option from Anker is very similar and has 69,000 five-star ratings to boot.”—Lindsey Greenfeld, commerce editor

Oster Electric Wine Opener, $20 (Save 20%)

Amazon

Amazon

“My mom got me this electric wine opener a few years ago for Christmas, and it's an absolute game changer for easily removing corks. You simply line it up over the bottle, press the button, and the cork is pulled free within 10 seconds — no arm strength required. I also love that it comes with a little tool to cut the foil from around the bottle.”—Alex Nelson, shopping editor & strategist

Kulfi Mehndi Moment Cream Blush, $28

Sephora
