People Up In Arms Over 'Jesus Christ' Video Game

This Is a Real Thing

A trailer heralding a new video game about Jesus Christ is making the rounds online, and causing discussion about what is and isn't appropriate when it comes to religion and video games.

'I Am Jesus Christ' Making Waves

Steam, a game distribution site, is showing a trailer of a new video game called "I Am Jesus Christ," which is supposedly based on the New Testament and Jesus' works, like performing miracles and being resurrected.

The short trailer for the video has been viewed more than 330,000 times since it was posted by PlayWay, a Polish game developer.

With Just a Wave Of Your Hand

You can do all kinds of activities on "I Am Jesus Christ," according to the description on Steam.

“‘I am Jesus Christ’ is a realistic simulator game inspired by stories from the New Testament of the Bible.

Check if you can perform all famous miracles from the Bible like Jesus Christ. It is a simulation game and you can try to save the world as He did. Are you ready to fight with Satan in the desert, exorcising demons and curing sick people? Or calm the storm in the sea?”

Now You Can Have the Power

Some seemed to think having a battle with Satan was a lot of fun.

"Realistic fight with Satan," wrote @angerbeardtv.

"Too far, PlayWay. Thumbs down,” said another on Facebook.

It remains to be seen whether this video game will actually get the green light or whether it will be shunned.
