Is Kirstin Maldonado, the 24-year-old a cappella singer and lone female member of Pentatonix, about to launch a solo career?

Last week, Maldonado socialized a link a new song, “Dose of You,” by rising DJ Helena Legend. The swooning dance cut features an artist billed as “kirstin™” — which is what Maldonado, whose full name is Kirstin Taylor Maldonado, changed her social handles to last week.

The singer has not claimed responsibility for the track other than tweeting out iTunes and Spotify links, but the voice on “Dose of You” certainly matches that of the Fort Worth, TExas native, who joined Pentatonix in 2011. No word from reps of Maldonado as to whether “Dose of You” previews more solo music to come.

Pentatonix recently earned its seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart with PTX Vol. IV: Classics, which was released last month. While Maldonado has yet to officially release any solo music, the group’s Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying have issued a few tracks under Superfruit, their popular web comedy series alias.
