Pennsylvania AG hits back after Trump brings another lawsuit: ‘We’ll win again’

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said on "The Rachel Maddow Show" Wednesday night that, despite the Trump campaign's lawsuit, all mail-in ballots in the state will be counted.

Earlier in the day, as the president's sizable lead over Joe Biden continued to deteriorate, Trump filed a lawsuit against the state in an attempt to stop the counting of mail-in ballots. But, Shapiro said, just the Trump campaign lost when it filed a suit aimed at limiting how and when ballots could be collected in the state, it will lose this time as well. "They've brought a lot of suits here in Pennsylvania to try and limit the vote, and now seemingly to try and stop the counting. Every time they've brought a lawsuit, we've won. And if they want to bring another one, we'll win again to protect the good people of Pennsylvania."

JOSH SHAPIRO: It's really a new suit in the line of many that have been dismissed outright and found to have absolutely no merit. And I just want to assure you, Rachel, these ballots here in Pennsylvania are going to continue to be counted.

- Pennsylvania Attorney General, Josh Shapiro, appeared on the Rachel Maddow show Wednesday night, where he spoke about yet another lawsuit President Trump has filed in an attempt to stop the counting of mail-in ballots in the state, as his lead over Joe Biden continued to deteriorate.

JOSH SHAPIRO: He brought a lot of suits here in Pennsylvania to try and limit the vote, and now, seemingly, to try and stop the counting. Every single time they brought a lawsuit, we've won. And if they want to bring another one, we'll win again to protect the good people of Pennsylvania.

- Trump had previously lost a lawsuit seeking to limit how and when ballots could be collected in Pennsylvania.

JOSH SHAPIRO: They seemed to indicate that they wanted to be able to intervene in the United States Supreme Court to, essentially, oppose the counting of ballots that were postmarked by election day, and received up until Friday at 5:00 PM. These are legal votes.

- Earlier in the day, Trump had dispatched Rudy Giuliani to Pennsylvania in an attempt to block the counting of votes, and Shapiro had thoughts.

JOSH SHAPIRO: Maybe they need to stop listen to Rudy Giuliani so much. I think that may be one of their problems.
