Peeps Art Contest returns to Fairlawn Mansion

Feb. 22—SUPERIOR — Superior's second annual Peeps Art Contest is accepting entries through March 28.

Participants are invited to create a sweet scene with sugary Peeps. Their freestanding artwork will be displayed at Fairlawn Mansion from March 30 through April 7, with prizes awarded in the following four categories: People's Choice Award, Under 12, Individual and Family/Group.

There is a $5 registration fee for each piece of Peep art. All ages are welcome, but only one entry per person or group is allowed.

The contest is hosted by Studio One Photography. Winners will be announced during "A Children's Home Easter," an event hosted by Superior Public Museums which runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30 at Fairlawn. Visitors can enjoy a meet-and-greet with the Easter bunny, crafts, games and self-guided tours.

Superior Funland also will hold an Easter egg hunt on the grounds. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and up, free for children ages 5 and younger. Proceeds from the event will support updating signage and exhibits in the Children's Home area on the third floor of the museum.
