Longing to listen to some classic Latin pop songs? Well, now you can have a “flashback kind of a day” today (Aug. 11) when Pedro Capó premieres his new project En Letra de Otro on HBO Latino.

The special is a live-performance audiovisual to the Latin musicians who Capó admired back in the '90s. "I had this idea two years ago, but I just wanted to video record myself singing them while playing my guitar and upload it as a video series on YouTube,” Capó tells Billboard. "But the label [Sony Music Latin] saw great potential and we decided to take it to another level."

Taking it to that level involved a partnership with HBO Latino, who offered to launch the project. “With this concert, we’re giving audiences an opportunity to reminisce in the nostalgia of the music, while giving Pedro’s fans something fun to watch,” said Jackie Gagne, HBO’s vice president of multicultural marketing.

For Letra de Otro, Pedro Capó traveled to Mexico where he found inspiration to transform each song according his style. “Pop music was very strong in Mexico during the '90s, so that’s why I decided to record it there," he said.

Letra de Otro includes hits such as Chayanne’s “Provocame,” Selena’s “Amor Prohibido,” Calle 13’s “Atreve-te-te” and Fey’s “Azucar Amargo”; among others.

Pedro Capó now joins Carlos Santana, Thalia, Romeo Santos,Yandel, Reik, Alejandro Sanz, Victor Manuelle, and Juanes, all of whom have been part of HBO's Latino concert specials.
