Peddler's Village to feature new February events for chocolate lovers to melt over

Is chocolate the way to your heart?

Then you might fall head over heels for a new chocolate-filled celebration this February.

Peddler’s Village in Lahaska is hosting Village of Chocolate, a five-day event Feb. 14-18, featuring chocolate-themed dinners, workshops and a Village Chocolate Trail.

Feb. 14-18: Village Chocolate Trail

Travel the Chocolate Trail to collect stickers and earn a golden ticket to win special prizes, which include Peddler’s Village gift cards, carousel rides at Giggleberry Fair, dining coupons and overnight stays.

Feb. 15: Chocolate & Whiskey Dinner

Earl’s New American presents a four-course dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. Each course will be paired with hand-selected whiskeys. This is a ticketed event limited to 50 guests.

Feb. 16: Chocolate & Beer Dinner

Cock ‘n Bull presents a four-course savory and sweet beer-and-food pairing starting at 6:30 p.m. This is a ticketed event and guests must be 21 or older.

Feb. 17: Chocolate-covered Workshops

Learn how to temper, melt, dip, mold, paint and decorate chocolate treats through a hands-on workshop led by Kim Pietrak of Skip’s Candy Corner. Four sessions are offered at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Registration is required with a cost of $5 per person.

Feb. 18: Brunch in the Chocolate Factory

Cock ‘n Bull is hosting a family-oriented brunch, featuring a magician, live music, chocolate-themed crafts, a chocolate fountain and house-baked desserts. Reservations are required.
