Pearl Jam is proving the band’s still alive — and not with an even flow of news, but a gigaton of it. The grunge pioneers announced on Tuesday (Feb. 13), that they will soon drop a twelfth studio album titled Dark Matter, and to celebrate the news, released its title track. Hours later, the Seattle band revealed that it’s also going on a world tour to support the release.
Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Mike McCreedy and Matt Cameron are set to kick off the Dark Matter global trek May 4 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C., and will play the West Coast the rest of the month before heading over to Europe for June and July, then returns to the States in late August. The tour wraps in November with shows in New Zealand and Australia. By the end of the tour, the band will have played nine countries and 25 cities.
