By Amanda Wicks.

Pearl Jam have put their spin on Brandi Carlile’s song “Again Today.” Their cover appears on the forthcoming tribute album Cover Stories: Brandi Carlile Celebrates 10 Years of the Story – An Album to Benefit War Child, which is out May 5 via Legacy Recordings. Carlile lent backing vocals to the band’s faster-paced version of her original. Listen to their recording below. Adele, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson, the Avett Brothers, and more all contributed new recordings to Cover Stories, which features renditions of all 14 songs from Carlile’s 2007 album The Story. In addition, Barack Obama wrote the record’s foreword. All proceeds will benefit War Child UK.

Tomorrow night, Pearl Jam enter the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. David Letterman will induct the band at the ceremony. Read “A Rock Hall Voter Breaks Down the Most Epic Nomination Class in Decades” on the Pitch.
