On Aug. 12, 2013, Nickelodeon introduced us to a boy named Ryder and his six furry four-legged friends Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rocky, Rubble and Zuma. Together, this team of rescue dogs created an alliance better known as the PAW Patrol.

It’s been 10 years, and the entire franchise still remains as pawpular as ever. In addition to books, movies, licensing, and merchandise, fans of all ages can now enjoy live performances and interactive experiences.

“We will be coming to the Pensacola Bay Center very soon,” PAW Patrol Live! Spokesperson Jeff Dietzel said. “Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sept. 10 at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., with plenty of tickets still available.”

Nickelodeon, Spin Master Entertainment, and VStar Entertainment group have teamed up to produce PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure,” a touring live Broadway-style adaptation that has been performed in front of audiences totaling more than 4.3 million people in 40 companies. This pirate-themed show features Ryder, the PAW Patrol crew, and other familiar faces as they set sail on an adventure in search of buried treasure. As Mayor Goodway and our heroes gear up for its annual Pirate Day Celebration on Adventure Bay, calamity strikes when Cap’n Turbot falls into a dark, spooky cavern.

But fear not, for the PAW Patrol is always ready to save the day. That’s when they discover a treasure map. Will they make it there before Mayor Humdinger finds it first for his city?

Bay Center future: How much life is left in aging Pensacola Bay Center? Answer will determine its future.

With the help of their newest PAW Patrol member, Tracker, they just might, but they’re counting on the people of Pensacola to lend a helping hand.

“It’s going to be very high energy, much like a rock concert,” Dietzel said. “We want everyone up out of their seats, and we’ll be asking for the audience’s help throughout the show. Interactive performances like this are great because it also teaches children problem solving skills.”

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just now getting acquainted with the pups, Dietzel explains that the audience will be able to catch on quick.

“Plus, the characters are super cute,” Dietzel said. “We will have everyone dancing, learning pirate catchphrases, and what’s so great is that it also provides children to experience live theatre performances.”

Tickets start at $47 at www.ticketmaster.com, and $137 if you want the Very Important Pup (VIP) experience. VIP Tickets are in limited supply, but will include premium seating and an opportunity to meet the characters and take pictures with them after the show. If you’re in a group, each adult and child over the age of 1 must have a VIP ticket.
