How Pavit’s Vietnam Trip Is Earning Him Validation

Throughout Real Housewives of New York Season 14, Jessel Taank’s husband, Pavit Randhawa, faced suspicion regarding his impending trip to Vietnam. However, his recent Instagram post details the short-term trip and should put to bed all doubts about his fidelity. Though Erin Lichy and Sai De Silva refused to give it a rest, Pavit’s Vietnam trip was about as wholesome as it gets.

Pavit’s goals for the trip were twofold. He planned to rack up some serious airline miles while enjoying some of the finest food in Southeast Asia. And boy did he succeed. His latest video followed his trip starting in his ultra-luxurious first-class seat. Not only did Pavit enjoy serious comfort, he was treated to a sumptuous meal that would make any 90s comedian reexamine their thoughts on airplane food.

But Pavit’s mile-high caviar dinner (served with a mother-of-pearl spoon, no less) was just the tip of the foodie iceberg. The travel video featured delectable bánh mìs, Vietnamese breakfast, scallops, crab, and phở you can practically smell through the screen. It was enough to make any foodie do a quick search for flight prices.

Pavit shared each dish he sampled on his whirlwind food tour, while Sai and Erin were left to eat their words.

Pavit’s Post Proves There’s No Funny Business

Pavit’s Vietnam trip lasted 30 hours, start to finish, so his time was extremely limited. The video he shared was a surprisingly detailed outline of his itinerary, and his time is very well accounted for. Honestly, even if he wanted to cheat, Pavit wouldn’t have had the time. Based on how much food he consumed, it’s doubtful he would have even had the energy.

Pavit’s travel video proves that he really did book his Vietnam trip for the reasons he said—miles and food.

Erin may have tried to deny it at the reunion, but she and Sai insinuated on numerous occasions that Pavit was cheating on Jessel. The two housewives were endlessly suspicious of Pavit’s Vietnam trip and even got their husbands to grill him about his travel plans as well. However, it now seems pretty clear that they were barking up the wrong tree.

Other RHONY Housewives Had Pavit’s Back

Though Sai and Erin were on the warpath to prove Pavit was a cheater, Jessel’s husband has found support from some of the other RHONY housewives. Their support has only gotten stronger, and both Brynn Whitfield and Ubah Hassan left comments on Pavit’s post.

“Travelers know it: it’s Cathay Pacific first class or nothing!” Ubah wrote, and I think Jenna Lyons would be inclined to agree. Maintaining his first-class status was one of the motivating factors that inspired Pavit’s Vietnam trip, so it was a smart and subtle comment for Ubah to leave.

Brynn’s comment was an even stronger proclamation that she’s Team Pavit. “I’m getting a jersey with PAVIT on the back and a big #1,” Brynn said.

It’s great to see Ubah and Brynn taking sides on this issue, as it really did seem like Erin and Sai were picking on Jessel during Season 14. Their laser-focus on Jessel and Pavit’s marriage was mean and inappropriate, so Jessel probably appreciates Brynn and Ubah’s support.

Pavit Poked Fun At Himself

The sense of humor Pavit showed in his Vietnam trip video was refreshing and a relief…and also really funny. He was quick to poke fun at memorable moments from Season 14 as well as the rumors about him cheating. “I’m going to eat as much as I can, yes I’m talking about food people, there’s nothing else going on here,” Pavit said of his time in Vietnam.

Clearly, Pavit doesn’t feel threatened by rumors or worried about his marriage with Jessel, or he wouldn’t be so willing to joke about it. If he was actually cheating, he probably wouldn’t be making light of the insinuations that were made about his behavior.

Ultimately, Pavit’s Vietnam trip was exactly the fun and innocent little getaway that he said it was. Pavit’s life as a father to twin toddlers is hectic and demanding, so he deserves a little down time. After all, Jessel enjoyed her girls trip to Anguilla on Season 14, so it’s only fair that Pavit gets to enjoy some time to himself as well.
