Paul Walter Hauser might play Mick Foley in a future project.

Speaking with Mike Roe of TheWrap, Paul Walter Hauser discussed his love for wrestling. He noted that he was talking to Mick Foley about potentially playing him.

“I’m literally talking to Mick Foley right now about the potential of playing him in a movie or limited series,” Hauser said. “I don’t know which and I don’t know how, but he and I have become friendly. And I think he knows that that could be a really great stroke of genius in casting me to play him.”

Hauser went on to say that he wanted to make sure he was playing the part of a wrestler for the right reasons. He stated that he wanted to make sure there was a real story.

“A couple of people have approached me to potentially play different wrestlers in different projects, and for me, I just have to make sure that there’s a real story there and I’m not just doing it because I’m a fan,” Paul Walter Hauser said.

The Emmy Award-winning actor went on to note that he could be a good fit for someone like Foley.

“I’ve got to look enough like the guy. So, I don’t think I’ll be playing Steve Austin, but I could maybe play a Mick Foley or a Jim Neidhart,” Hauser said.

Paul Walter Hauser has starred in Richard Jewell and Black Bird, among other films. He has ventured into the wrestling world in recent years. Hauser has competed multiple times for Wrestling REVOLVER. Hauser is also set to wrestle at MLW Battle Riot VI.
