Marrakech Film Festival is set to welcome Paul Verhoeven, Paul Haggis and Pavel Lounguine during its 16th edition, which is set to take place Dec. 2-10.

Haggis, who won two Oscars for “Crash” in 2005, Lounguine, the Russian director of “The Island,” and Verhoeven, the Dutch master whose latest film, “Elle,” is France’s foreign-language Oscar entry, will be on hand at the festival to deliver masterclasses.

Meanwhile, the jury will comprise Argentinan helmer Lisandro Alonso (“La Jauja), Australian actor Jason Clarke (“All I See is You”), French director Bruno Dumont (“Slack Bay”), Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, Danish director Bille August (“Silent Heart”), Canadian actress Suzanne Clement (“The First, The Last”), emerging French-Indian thesp Kalki Koechlin (“Un + Une) and Moroccan actress Fatima Harandi (“Formatage”).

As previously announced, the Hungarian director Bela Tarr will serve as jury president.

The festival will soon unveil its full program.

Last year’s edition, whose jury was presided by Francis Ford Coppola, awarded Lebanese director Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya’s “Very Big Shot” with the top prize.
