A new Paul Thomas Anderson retrospective book has been announced. Paul Thomas Anderson: Masterworks, written by Cinema Scope contributing editor Adam Nayman, arrives October 20 via Abrams with a foreword by the Safdie Brothers (the directors behind Uncut Gems). The “heavily illustrated mid-career monograph” will explore PTA’s 30 years of work to date, including not only his award-winning films, but also his music videos for bands such as Radiohead. Find more info on the book at Abrams.
Anderson most recently directed a new video for HAIM’s song “Man From the Magazine.” Last year, he directed the Thom Yorke short film ANIMA.
