In 1982, two mega pop stars in their own right, Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney, joined forces to create their collaborative track “The Girl is Mine” for Jackson’s now classic album Thriller. The following year, the two teamed up once again. This time for “Say Say Say” from McCartney’s album Pipes of Peace.

More than three decades later, Paul McCartney is preparing to reissue a remastered version of Pipes of Peace. After hearing a remix of “Say Say Say” by DJ John “Jellybean” Benitez, McCartney reportedly remembered that he actually had some extra, unused vocal tracks from Michael Jackson laying around. McCartney decided to take these alternate vocal tracks and recreate the classic track for his album’s rerelease. Paul McCartney shared a fun video for the new version of “Say Say Say” on his Facebook page earlier today.
