Patrick Stewart Seems Like He’d Be Down to Play Professor X on ‘Legion’
Sir Patrick Stewart stopped by The Late Late Show With James Corden to talk about his new movie, Logan, in which he plays X-Men‘s Professor Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X.
Corden asked the thespian when he thinks he’ll stop playing the iconic, telepathic mutant, now that he’s played him in seven films. Stewart said that after he watched Logan with Hugh Jackman, he felt like that was the natural end but that it’s possible he could be drawn back by an irresistible offer. Apparently, there has been talk of Professor X appearing in the next Deadpool film, something that Stewart himself seems very open to.
Dan Stevens, star of Legion, also pointed out the fact that his character in the FX series, David Haller, is, in fact, Professor X’s son in X-Men lore, so naturally, he’d love it if Stewart reprised the role once more, on the small screen.
