Patrick Mahomes takes Matchmaker credit for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Besides being a great football player, it looks like Patrick Mahomes is a great matchmaker, too.

Mahomes went on the Pat McAfee Show Thursday and revealed that Travis Kelce was in his suite when he attended Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” stop in Kansas City.

“I’d like to take some of the credit. I was the one who invited Travis to the first Taylor concert when the friendship bracelet was — he was sitting in my suite, so I feel like I was the matchmaker,” Mahomes said.

“I had some input in there as well, I was like, ‘Dude, just go for it. Just go for it.’ And you know Travis, man, he does it. He’s a great dude and I’m glad it’s all worked out for the best.”

Mahomes was referring to the famous friendship bracelet that Kelce tried to give Swift with his number on it while at the concert. Kelce couldn’t make the catch the night of the Eras Tour, but the two of them managed to connect and have been together since last August.

In addition to being on his way to becoming history’s best quarterback, McAfee joked that Mahomes might also become the greatest matchmaker ever.

Swift and Kelce made their first appearance together at a Chiefs game last September.

During his offseason for the NFL, Travis has been very busy as of late. Following the Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl in February, he supported Swift on several of her international Eras Tour dates, went to the Bahamas, stayed with her in California, filmed TV shows and vacationed in Lake Como, Italy.
