Patrick Mahomes Sr. Recalls 'Down to Earth' Taylor Swift Taking Pictures with His Daughter: 'Made Her Day'

The retired baseball pro also described the pop star as “very nice and genuine and everything"

Taylor Swift made a good first impression on Patrick Mahomes’ dad!

During an appearance on WFAN Sports Radio’s Evan & Tiki show on Thursday, Patrick "Pat" Mahomes Sr. — who is the father of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback — discussed his first interaction with the pop star, who is now a Chiefs game-day mainstay.

After reflecting on the fun goings on in the suite of Swift’s boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, last week — including Jason Kelce’s shirtless antics — Pat Sr., 53, recalled the very first time he met Swift, 34.

The former MLB pitcher described the “Cruel Summer” singer as “very nice and genuine and everything,” adding upon meeting her, he also learned she’s “very down to earth.”

“Someone that’s famous, you never know how that’s going to go,” he added.

According to Pat Sr., the first time he and Swift crossed paths at a Chiefs game, he went to introduce himself, and she recognized him from Netflix’s Quarterback docuseries before thanking him for letting her be in the suite, although the former baseball star noted it actually belonged to his son's wife, Brittany Mahomes.

The Grammy winner also "took a couple of pictures with my wife and with my daughter," Pat Sr. said, referring to Patrick’s half-sister, Zoe Mahomes.

The picture of Swift and Zoe — shared on Instagram by Zoe’s mom, Pat Sr.’s ex Anika Cooper — “made her day,” Pat Sr. revealed of his little girl.

“Chiefs game (Zoe’s version),” Anika captioned the shot, which was taken at the Chiefs’ Oct. 22 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Elsewhere during the Evan & Tiki episode, Pat Sr. discussed the Kelce brothers’ antics from a unique perspective, as Travis, 34, is "is like another son” to the former baseball pro, he said.

Pat Sr. said that while Jason, 36, might appear to be the “wild” brother, it’s actually Travis!

Though he wasn’t in the same suite as Jason, his wife Kylie Kelce and Swift during last Sunday’s playoff matchup, Pat Sr. said that he did witness the Philadelphia Eagles center’s shirtless celebration during the Chiefs win against the Buffalo Bills.

“I was actually two booths down but soon as he started doing that I was looking down and I saw him,” Pat Sr. told the hosts, adding that he and Jason crossed paths only once at the game, during a bathroom break.

The retired athlete added that he’s used to the NFL star brothers’ behavior because he’s “been around them a lot.”

“Those are some fun guys,” he said, adding, “I mean, you think Jason's wild, you ought to see Travis!”
