Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has some effusive praise for Taylor Swift.

Mahomes, 28, sat down for an exclusive interview with CBS Mornings on Friday, where the two-time Super Bowl winner spoke about Swift's ongoing romance with his teammate Travis Kelce and the singer's friendship with his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

“She’s top-tier at her profession, and to see how she drives and she becomes that — Dude, it’s really cool to hear about and to see, and now I have a first-hand look at that through Brittany and Travis’ eyes," Patrick said in the interview.

Patrick revealed that when Swift and Kelce first began dating, "everybody stayed away" and "just let [Kelce] do what he was doing."

"Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning," Patrick admitted.

But now, "She’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom," Patrick said. "And she’s part of the team."

The "Anti-Hero" singer first attended a Chiefs game on Sept. 24 at Arrowhead Stadium when the Chiefs defeated the Chicago Bears.

Over the next games she attended, Swift has sat next to Brittany, 28, and the two have developed a close friendship as they bond over their NFL beaus.

"It's cool that she’s embraced Brittany, and they’ve built a friendship as well," Patrick told CBS. "So for me, its Travis, man, and he's lucky enough to be with a great girl, and a great woman, and it's been cool to interact with her," he continued.

In September, Patrick first spoke about Swift after she attended a party with Kelce's family and friends to celebrate the team's Sept. 24 victory over the Bears.

"Yeah, I met her," Mahomes told reporters at the time. "She's really cool, good people."

Still, Patrick supported his friend's wish for privacy as the relationship became public. "But like Trav said, man, I'm going to let them have their privacy and just keep it moving," Mahomes added.

Swift made a good impression on the quarterback's family when she attended the Chiefs' matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in October.

Patrick's mother, Randi Mahomes, posted a photo of Swift with the athlete's 12-year-old sister, Mia Randall.

Randi shared photos on Instagram of her youngest child and the “Delicate” songstress posing together, and added the caption, “I love how sweet Taylor was to my girl!!” Randi also included a “girl power” hashtag to the post.

The Chiefs will kick off their Christmas Day game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday at 1 p.m. ET.
