Patrick Dempsey's got his family by his side!

The actor attended the premiere of his new film Ferrari on Tuesday night in Los Angeles, walking the red carpet at the Directors Guild of America Complex alongside wife Jillian Dempsey and their three kids — daughter Talula, 21, and twin sons Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick, 16.

Dempsey, 57, looked dapper in a black suit over a pinstripe shirt as he posed next to his wife of 24 years, who dazzled in a gold column gown.

Talula opted for a black spaghetti-strap dress featuring a deep V neckline, while Sullivan rocked a black leather jacket and Darby went for an all-black suit look, without the tie.

PEOPLE's reigning Sexiest Man Alive opened up about parenting in his cover interview published last month, revealing that his kids "want to have their own identity, separate from me and that shadow."

"They all have unique qualities and they have their own goals that they need to develop and harvest themselves and we just try to model our behavior and hopefully they’ll pick up on that," Dempsey said.

The father of three also noted that it's "very challenging having your children grow up in Hollywood and to be in that environment."

"I just read something about how important it is when you have children, the environment that they’re in will be the most important thing for them and their development," the Thanksgiving actor shared. "So trying to keep that a good calm loving safe environment for them."

Ferrari follows the story of Italian former racecar driver and Ferrari automobile founder Enzo Ferrari (played by Adam Driver). The movie takes place in 1957 when Ferrari "is in crisis," according to an official synopsis for the movie.

"Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife Laura built from nothing 10 years earlier. Their volatile marriage has been battered by the loss of their son Dino a year earlier," the synopsis continued. "Ferrari struggles to acknowledge his son Piero with Lina Mardi."

"Meanwhile, his drivers' passion to win pushes them to the edge as they launch into the treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy, the Mille Miglia," the synopsis adds.

Driver, 40, and Dempsey, who portrays Formula One driver Piero Taruffi, are joined in the cast by Penélope Cruz as Ferrari's wife Laura, Shailene Woodley as his mistress Lina Lardi, Jack O'Connell as Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian and Gabriel Leone as Fon De Portago.

Ferrari revs into theaters this Christmas.
