Passionflix’s ‘Wallbanger’ Movie Rounds Out Cast With ‘Fantasy Island’s’ Roselyn Sánchez, ‘And Just Like That’ Actor Cathy Ang and 4 More (EXCLUSIVE)

The film adaptation of Alice Clayton’s rom-com novel “Wallbanger,” set up at Tosca Musk’s romance-focused streamer Passionflix, has rounded out its cast with “Fantasy Island” star Roselyn Sánchez, “And Just Like That” actor Cathy Ang and four more supporting cast members.

Based on Clayton’s 2012 New York Times best-selling book, “Wallbanger” is an irresistible tale of exasperation at first sight, according to the film’s official synopsis. Caroline is a young, single interior designer living in San Francisco who has been without a boyfriend for some time. She moves into an apartment that seems perfect, only to be awakened nightly by her neighbor, Simon, aka the “wallbanger.” The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly.

As Variety previously reported, “Heels” vet Kelli Berglund and “Hidden Strike” actor Amadeus Serafini are starring as Caroline and Simon, respectively.

Joining the leading pair are Sánchez as Jillian, Ang as Mimi, “Walker” actor Colin Ford as Ryan, “The Engagement Dress” star Abbey May as Sophia and “Will Trent” actor Cedrick Cooper as Neil.

“The ‘Wallbanger’ universe has grown and the friends have arrived!” Clayton said in a statement to Variety. “One constant since ‘Wallbanger’ was released has been how thoroughly readers related to the relationships between Simon and Caroline, their besties, and their mentors. This is a chosen family, their friends mean the world to them, and they’re powerful in their own right. And powerfully funny, which is why this cast is shaping up to be epic!”

Clayton’s “Wallbanger” is the first novel in her “Cocktail” series, which also includes “Rusty Nailed,” “Screwdrivered” and “Mai Tai’d Up.”

Passionflix founder and CEO Tosca Musk, who co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Mary Pocrnic, will direct. Clayton is an executive producer on “Wallbanger” alongside Musk.

“Wallbanger” has begun production in Spain, San Francisco and Atlanta.
