Passion for Fashion! Inside Samantha Harris' Daughter Josselyn's 9th Birthday

Samantha Harris is truly the hostess with the mostest!
The TV host’s daughter Josselyn celebrated her 9th birthday with 20 friends at the family’s Los Angeles-area home on Saturday with her very own fashion show party.
Harris, 42, tells PEOPLE it was an unforgettable day for her older daughter, who officially turned 9 on Friday.
“Jossie came up with a ‘fashion show’ theme and wanted all the girls to come dressed in their own fanciest clothes — or, if their moms would allow, come dressed in their moms’ fancy dresses and accessories,” Harris says.

Before the big night, Harris used Avery Labels to create DIY invitations (and later thank you cards) that matched the evening’s theme.
Once at the party, all attendees got their hair and makeup done from one of Harris’ friends, celebrity makeup artist Courtney Hart. Harris and some of the other moms treated the girls to manicures before the group moved on to the fashion show rehearsal.
“Now, it was showtime!” Harris says, adding that each girl took a turn working the hot pink gymnastic mat-turned runway that was adorned with a black gauze curtain and hot pink and zebra print balloons.

After strutting their stuff, the girls changed into PJs and enjoyed some whole wheat pizza, salad, veggies and fruit before diving into a hot pink and zebra-print cake.
To end the night, Harris says the girls “snuggled in tightly” to watch the American Girl Doll movie Grace.

Guests took home nail kits and polishes from Zoya and Ella + Mila, and got to enjoy Harris’ signature party favor.
“The bags were adorned with a pack of my birthday party goody bag staple each year, Mabel’s Labels, personalized with each girl’s name on their own pack,” she says.
Harris shares Josselyn and 5-year-old daughter Hillary with her husband of nearly 12 years, Michael Hess.
