Party Favors Become Party Dresses on ‘Project Runway’
The Season 15 premiere of Project Runway promised to have some surprises for this year’s contestants, and they started unexpectedly at a celebratory party. The 16 designers competing in this year’s competition began at a meet-and-greet, when the party was interrupted by hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, who thrust the cast into their first challenge.
The designers had to make dresses using unconventional materials found at the party. It was a mad dash throughout the room, with all 16 contestants grabbing anything they could get their hands on.
Judging by the results, the competition this year is proving to be fierce. The judges were impressed with many of the designs and declared that this was the most impressive first round in the show’s 15 season history.
Project Runway airs Thursday night at 9/8 p.m. on Lifetime.
