Dispatch also produced evidence stating that the money was disguised as “living expenses” and routed to Park Min Young’s account via a complicated three-step process.
Back in September 2022, Park Min Young’s agency Hook Entertainment released a statement saying that Park Min Young had not received significant monetary benefits from her ex-boyfriend following their break up.
In January 2024, Hook Entertainment released a statement that was written in Korean in Sports Chosun but translated to English by Soompi where it revealed that Park Min Young had participated in a witness interview with the prosecution regarding the use of her account as a borrowed bank name account, with the interview ultimately concluding that Min Young neither participated in any illegal activity nor received any illegal benefits.
The statement also clarified that the 250 million won mentioned in Dispatch’s report was only being used by her ex Kang Jong Hyun and not for the former’s living expenses.

Taking to Instagram, she put up two happy selfies and wrote in Korean, translated to English, the following:
“sick of it all, However, I will believe that honesty will prevail, and now I have firm feelings of wanting to protect my [fans]. Don’t worry,”
