Park Ji-Hoon’s upcoming period drama, Love Song for Illusion, is all set to debut on KBS2 in January 2024. The new romantic series is based on Vanziun’s well-known Naver webtoon of the same name. Written by Yoon Kyung-Ah, the series has been directed by Lee Jung-Seop.

Besides Park Ji-Hoon, the KBS series also stars Hong Ye-Ji in the lead role. KBS recently launched a new teaser trailer for Song for Illusion on Thursday, December 7, 2023. The recent teaser suggests that the K-drama will revolve around a tragic love story.

The new Love Song For Illusion teaser shows Park Ji-Hoon and Hong Ye-Ji’s characters facing challenges in the fantasy-romance K-drama. Park Ji-Hoon is seen playing the dual roles of Sajo Hyun, the crown prince, and Ak-Hee, his alter ego. He has an oppressive father, Sajo Seung. Moreover, he lives the life of a boutique fashion designer to hide his real identity.

Meanwhile, Hong Ye-Ji is seen portraying the role of Yeon Wol. Being a woman living a life of twists and turns, she becomes a concubine from an assassin due to fate and destiny. The new teaser displays the narratives of the lead pair and increases anticipation by highlighting the undeniable chemistry between Hong Ye-Ji and Park Ji-Hoon.

The audience also sees glimpses of complexities between Yeon Wol and Sajo Hyun, aka Ak Hee. It also showcases the never-ending conflict between Park Ji-Hoon’s dual personas—Prince Sajo Hyun and Ak-Hee—in the series. Thus, it seems like viewers are in for an engrossing journey.
