Park Eun Bin’s Decision to Star in Castaway Diva is Fed by Curiosity

Park Eun-bin is set to star on the upcoming tvN drama Castaway Diva. The K-drama will premiere on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 9:20 p.m. KST. It will document the story of Seo Mok-ha (played by Park Eun-bin), an aspiring singer who is rescued from a deserted island while traveling to Seoul for an audition. The series follows her journey to stardom.
The South Korean actress shared her insight on playing Seo Mok-ha on Castaway Diva. As per Soompi, she said that her decision to essay the character was fed by curiosity and the need to look for answers to the story.
Park Eun-bin added, “After reading the script, I was curious about the life Mok Ha will lead in the future. I wonder about the kind of future that lies ahead for her, considering she lived on a deserted island [before her rescue]. I aim to find the answers through Mok Ha and turn the seemingly impossible into reality alongside her.”

tvN released the official poster for Park Eun-bin’s character, Seo Mok-ha, on October 17, 2023. The two posters saw the character’s radiant energy through her smile. Moreover, it reflected her ambition to become a popular singer. The choice of bright colors, accompanied by sunlight and the beach, give a warm tone to her character.
The first poster sees Seo Mok-ha in her choice of space amidst the greenery. She strums her guitar and exhibits a bright wide smile, which gives the impression that she’s embracing the song’s tunes. Surrounded by colorful cushions, cassettes, recorder, Mok-ha sits in a background filled with dreamcatchers, indicating her hopes of achieving her passion.
On the other hand, the second poster shows the character taking a stroll along the beach in a flowy white dress. Bright sunlight glistens the beach as she looks back, filled with hope and dreams. Both the posters read the tagline, “Until the day when I fill the world with my dream.” This suggests her dream to become a well-known singer.
Park Eun-bin stars in Castaway Diva after her critically acclaimed role in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Viewers have been eagerly waiting to see her on screen once again. As it is, her latest character has only raised the bar of expectations.
Speaking about fitting into Seo Mok-ha’s role, Park Eun-bin expressed that she was doing her best to give justice to the character. She said, “The character of Mok Ha is notably defined by her singing and dialect, which I’m wholeheartedly doing my best to perfect. Since I’ve poured my heart [into this role] for Mok Ha, I hope that viewers will also resonate with her as if she’s their friend who hails from a deserted island.”
