Korean drama Daily Dose of Sunshine is one of the highly anticipated Netflix shows that centers around mental health awareness. In the K-drama, Park Bo-Young plays the lead role of psychiatric ward nurse Jung Da-Eun.

Da-Eun is transferred from internal medicine to the Department of Psychiatry. However, she finds it difficult to adjust to an alien environment. Da-Eun also gets distressed when she helplessly sees the patients go through their psychotic episodes, but she soon learns to navigate her way through it.

Daily Dose of Sunshine release date, cast & more

Daily Dose of Sunshine is set to premiere on Sunday, November 3, 2023, on Netflix. The K-drama will also be available to stream on Viki. Aside from Park Bo-Young, the cast includes Yeon Woo-Jin as Dong Go-Yun, Jang Dong-Yoon as Song Yu-Chan, and Lee Jung-Eun as Song Hyo-Shin, among others.

The official synopsis of the forthcoming K-drama reads, “A kind-hearted nurse working in psychiatry goes above and beyond to be a ray of light for those under her care, despite the challenges coming her way.”

Last week, Netflix released a Daily Dose of Sunshine trailer that features Da-Eun struggling to understand the world of mental health. She starts her new job with excitement and positivity but soon realizes that it is not an easy job. The trailer introduces how a psychiatric patient creates his own fantasy world. The situation makes it challenging for the medical staff to control the situation.

While Da-Eun questions her nursing skills, her colleagues encourage and support her. The video ends with Da-Eun saying, “We all cross between day and night throughout our whole lives.”

Besides Daily Dose of Sunshine, the Strong Girl Bong-Soon star was recently seen in a cameo role in Netflix’s Strong Girl Nam-Soon. This year, she also appeared in Park Seo-Joon’s Concrete Utopia.
