Paris Hilton Says Lindsay Lohan Crashed Her Girls Night Out with Britney Spears — in 2006

Paris Hilton is throwing some shade at Lindsay Lohan, 11 years after the two stars were photographed together with Britney Spears.

The photo, taken in 2006, featured Lohan, Spears, and Hilton grinning inside of a car during a night out. It shocked fans who believed all three were feuding at the time, and the photo was dubbed “The Holy Trinity.”

In an interview with MTV Australia, the heiress revealed the girls night out was only intended for two.

“Actually, it was just Brit and I [going] out,” Hilton said. “And then [Lindsay] chased us to the car and got in. She wasn’t invited.”

Lohan defended Hilton on the night the photo was taken, telling photographers, “Paris is my friend. Everyone lies about everything. She’s a nice person… I’ve known her since I was 15.”

She added, “Stop making us hate each other.”

In November, Hilton announced on Twitter that she and Spears invented the selfie in 2006, writing enthusiastically, “11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!”

Twitter users began disproving her claim, many writing, “Liar,” while another user shared a GIF of Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon cozying up to take a selfie with a Polaroid camera in 1991’s Thelma and Louise.

While it seems that Hilton is happy calling Spears a friend, Lohan doesn’t seem to mind being compared to the socialite in her new home of Dubai.

“She’s blonde and happy and she looks good,” a friend of Lohan’s recently told PEOPLE, adding that the actress currently lives between London and Dubai, where she is enjoying the attention she gets from locals.

“She’s oddly very popular there and she is kind of like Paris Hilton,” the friend said of Lohan’s life in Dubai. “She has a bunch of girlfriends and she has a place now. She has become a lady who lunches with all these women who have businesses. It’s taken her time to get used to the lifestyle, but she likes it now.”

Lohan recently resurfaced in New York in a rare public appearance with her mother Dina, where she explained to Entertainment Tonight what the appeal of living Dubai is.

“I love living in New York, but I do love the serenity and peace that I find living in the Middle East because there are no cameras in Dubai and I can actually focus on what I want to do in life,” she said. “I don’t always have to be scrutinized every second. I can have a private life and have a public life, but when I choose to. And I think that’s really important.”

As for her dating life, the friend said Lohan is single now after “dating a guy in London for a bit.” She was rumored to be romancing Korean bodybuilder Je Hong Ha, but the source said they’re “just friends. She thinks he’s hysterical.”
