Paris Hilton Reveals Why She Chose the Name London for Her Newborn Daughter

Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, 43, announced that they welcomed a beautiful baby girl via surrogate in November 2023, making them the proud parents of two. And now, the Paris in Love star is opening up about why she chose the name London for her newborn daughter.

In a recent episode of the media personality’s iHeartRadio podcast, I Am Paris, the 43-year-old revealed her daughter’s full name to the world: London Marilyn Hilton-Reum. While on the pod, Hilton also took a moment to share the sweet story behind her daughter’s name. “I chose London as her name because it’s one of my favorite cities in the world,” she explained to listeners.

Hilton continued, “And ever since I was a little girl, I just always dreamed of having a little daughter named London. I think it also sounds so cute together, Paris and London, and it’s just such a beautiful and unique name.” (FYI, Paris is also named after the city in Europe.)

As for the baby’s middle name? During the episode, Hilton revealed that she wanted to name her daughter after a special family member: her grandmother. “I wanted to honor my grandmother, Marilyn,” she said. “I think it's such a beautiful name. And Phoenix, his middle name is Barron, which is my grandfather's name. And it was just an honor [for both] of them, and I love them so much.”

This podcast episode premiered shortly after Hilton surprised her fans with first-glimpse photos of baby London on Instagram. The first snap in the slideshow shows the proud mom holding her baby girl, who is wearing a cute pink top with a matching tutu skirt and a pink hat adorned with a tied bow.

Meanwhile, the second slide reveals a never-before-seen pic of the family of four where Reum is holding his one-year-old son, Phoenix. Hilton captioned the post, “Introducing London Marilyn Hilton-Reum. I’ve dreamed of having a daughter named London for as long as I can remember. I’m so grateful she is here. I truly cherish every moment I spend with her. Together with Phoenix, my angel babies have shown me a love that I never even knew could run so deep before I became their mother.”
