Paris Hilton’s husband Carter Reum is opening up about his wife's secretive side!

In a sneak peek of season 2 of her Peacock reality series, Paris in Love, Reum, 42, confesses that he wanted to share the news of their son Phoenix Baron’s impending arrival with his loved ones, but his wife, also 42, preferred to keep it under wraps.

“I don’t think it ever hit me we weren’t going to tell anyone, that was really Paris,” the entrepreneur and venture capitalist said in a confessional. “My initial inclination was to tell my family and get everyone excited, hers was to hold the secret. But she’s had to go through life having to protect herself, so I was gonna do everything I could to be a good teammate.”

In the same clip, Hilton also discussed just how closely guarded the secret was.

“Literally no one knows,” she said in a confessional. “No one in this house knows. None of the people who work at my media company know. My friends don’t know. My own family doesn’t know.”

The TV personality and DJ also revealed the plan the pair had devised if anyone spotted them with their son, who was born via surrogate in January, at the hospital.

“If people found out there would be paparazzi all over Cedars [Cedars Sinai Hospital in L.A.] I’m hoping and praying that no one at the hospital tells,” she told Reum as they sat in a car. “If anyone recognizes me let's pretend that it’s our nephew.”

“Can’t blow our cover now, we’ve done such a good job,” he added.

Hilton announced the news of Phoenix’s arrival on Instagram at the end of January.

Sharing a close-up photo of her baby boy gripping her thumb, she captioned the snap, "You are already loved beyond words 💙.”

The “Stars Are Blind” singer also told PEOPLE exclusively at the time, "It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."

Reum is also dad to a daughter, whom he shares with former reality star Laura Bellizzi.

Back in February, Hilton revealed how her nearest and dearest didn’t know she and Reum had welcomed Phoenix until he was over a week old.

Speaking on her iHeartRadio podcast This Is Paris, the mother of one said, “Not even my mom, my sisters, my best friend knew until he was over a week old. It was really nice to have that with Carter, be our own journey together. I just feel like my life has been so public, and I've never really had anything be just mine."

"I felt that I wanted this journey to be for us only," Hilton explained, noting it was "hard to keep that in."

Paris also opened up about her mom Kathy Hilton meeting her grandson for the first time and described her reaction.

"When I introduced my mom to our baby boy, it was amazing to see the look on her face," Paris shared. "She was so surprised — just the look on her face, it was priceless."

In the trailer for season 2 of Paris in Love, Kathy can be seen getting emotional during the touching moment.

"I have a surprise," Paris tells her. "This is your grandson Phoenix."

"Are you serious?" Kathy cries.

Season 2 of Paris in Love premieres Nov. 30 on Peacock.
