After two years of living in my first solo apartment, it was time to invest in a cohesive cookware set. Until now, I’ve just been using a mismatched semi-decent skillet pan, a small saucepan, and a pasta pot. Trying to cook multiple things at once felt impossible.
When I recently came across Paris Hilton’s ‘Be an Icon’ kitchen collection, available at Walmart, my pink-loving heart needed the nonstick ceramic cookware set ASAP and immediately bought it. The cookware complements my neutral and pink decorated apartment perfectly, and the pots’ lids have detailed heart knobs in brass for a special touch. Easily, the biggest flex of this set is the nonstick, non-toxic ceramic coating that requires no oil while cooking and makes clean-up a breeze. In the past, I’ve actually opted for food delivery to forgo the tiring cleanup process, but now, I’m excited to cook and clean since every recipe slides right off the pan.
The set comes with an 8-inch fry pan, a 2-quart saucepan, a 4.3-quart Dutch oven, and two pan protectors plus coinciding tempered glass lids. They heat up at what feels like lightning speed, making Hilton’s cookware live up to her infamous catchphrase ‘that’s hot.’ Their cast aluminum construction also provides even heat distribution, and I haven’t experienced cold spots in the pans.
Each pan has a silicone-coated handle, making it easy to grip and carry from stove to table. They’re also lightweight and feature pour spouts for draining liquids without spilling, which is also convenient for someone like me who’s rather clumsy. When it’s time to put them away, I love that each piece can nest inside one another since I’m low on storage space as it is.
Hilton’s ‘Be an Icon’ collection also features other kitchen must-haves available at Walmart. A sectioned heart-shaped fry pan, a 10-piece stainless steel knife butcher block, and charcuterie boards are just some of the other pretty pink finds worth adding to your home.
