Boomer serves as a full circle moment for Davidson and Goodman. Davidson was a longtime Paramount executive who acted in several roles, including senior vp of acquisitions and production, in which he oversaw movies like Arrival and Katy Perry: Part of Me. It was in that time that he first worked with Goodman, who was president of the motion picture group.

After a stint in television, he rejoined Goodman at Invisible Narratives as head of creative. He was also a producer, along with Goodman and Michael Bay, on the 2020 pandemic lockdown movie Songbird. Davidson began developing Boomer while at Invisible Narratives.

Now, Boomer brings both Davidson and Goodman back to Paramount.

The script concerns an out-of-work dad who accidentally goes viral online and becomes a social media influencer to the dismay of his teenage daughter.

Goodman’s banner is mostly known as a digital content studio that has a major focus on the social media sphere.

Engelson, a longtime manager and producer, was an exec producer on Snowfall, FX’s crime series that ran six seasons, from 2017 to 2023.

Davidson is repped by Underground.
